News 2012

August 2012 "The Lancashire Lads came down for their annual weeks fishing and during the five days from 17th July they managed to bank just short of 300lb of carp between the five of them. The biggest fish was a cracking 26lb 14oz common caught by Jeff Hilton. However, Dave Jones was more than happy to bank 13 carp, the biggest being just over 20lb's.

On the whole all three lakes are fishing well, with some of the best mixed action is on the Stock Pond with good mixed bags of Bream, Crucians and Carp coming to pellet, paste and corn."

June 2012 "It's great to see that the water levels in all of the lakes are well up!! In fact they are at normal "Winter" levels. The carp had a spawning two weeks ago now, just after the hot spell we had. They are settling down now and catches are good across all the lakes. In the match lake, method feeder and cage feeder is working well with great catches coming to corn and pellet. The carp lake is fishing well with every 3rd fish out seems to be a 20lb+!! all the usual baits are working and pop-up's seem to be doing slightly better than bottom baits. The stock pond is doing well with pole anglers catching on paste, pellet and corn."
